The Family Whole
An alternative to the traditional "Sibling Preparation" class, The Family Whole offers a safe and relaxing place for families to reconnect and rejuvenate amidst busy schedules and hectic lives. Through hands-on activities, family art projects, stories, and creative play, children's questions, fears, beliefs, and ideas surrounding birth are explored. Topics will include changes taking place in the mother's body, shifting roles within the family unit, what it means to be a big brother and sister, and the positive growth of relationships after the birth of the new baby. The Family Whole is a one-time two hour class, tailored to the needs of the individual family. The class is held privately, in the family's home. The cost is $50. For clients outside the county of Philadelphia, a $15 travel- related expenses fee will be added to the cost of sibling preparation services. |
