THIS IS
YOUR BIRTH.
YOUR BIRTH.
We learned of Brittany's birth class services through our midwife and our other connections in the childbirth field also spoke very highly of her and let us know that we were in excellent hands. We attended her one day birth class and couldn't agree more. Brittany is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and obviously skilled. She went above and beyond for us; when we had questions specific to our circumstances during the discussion, Brittany followed up with us personally and also kept in contact about ultrasound results. She expressed genuine interest in the education and well being of all the parents and took the time to encourage discussion and answer all questions. We felt very comfortable with Brittany and found her class to be empowering and refreshing. We highly recommend working with her! |

Eric and I had a great time Saturday. Thank you for your vast evidence based knowledge! The class had a great vibe. So many awesome people and you were great answering everyone’s questions and giving us lots of good info! I can not WAIT to go into labor. Thank you! |
I (we) justed wanted to send you a note of thanks for such an amazing birth class! We had a positive and empowering home birth experience. Our baby girl arrived earthside a month ago today! We planned for the water birth, but I actually labored in a squatting position, then on the birth stool, and finally on all fours on our bed. :) Jason was the most amazing birth partner and I'm so grateful we learned the positions with you because I am pretty sure we used all of them throughout the day. Again, thank you for your work and dedication. |

Homebirth Preparation Classes
The homebirth-specific group childbirth class is offered in a one day (five hour) format. Class topics are
similar to the general childbirth classes and follow the same holistic philosophies but are geared towards families
choosing to birth at home. Topics include informed decision making and shared trust between the client and
midwife through pregnancy and birth, pelvic dynamics and positioning of the baby for a smoother labor, movement for a
healthy pregnancy and birth, mindfulness and partner exercises to build confidence and trust in oneself and each other, the
physiological and emotional process of labor, understanding hospital transfer and maintaining control in the decision making process should a transfer become necessary, and comfort measures, movement, and positions for labor.
Questions and hands-on participation and movement are encouraged.
Classes are offered in a group setting at Ohm Chiropractic in South Philadelphia (virtually only until pandemic restrictions are lifted)
or classes can be taken privately.
We are now also offering a self-paced online homebirth course based on our in-person classes.
