I believe all those that support women in labor should take the training in Pelvic Dynamics, Fetal Positioning, and use of the Rebozo. Labor is the dance that sees baby pass out of the womb, through the pelvis, and into the world--shouldn't we understand how that process actually works? Not only is Brittany sweet and engaging, she is also knowledgeable and experienced. In her class, "Creating Space", you will learn the intricate pathways through the pelvis, positions to open the pelvis effectively, tips to troubleshoot stalls, failure to descend, back labor, and more, and how indigenous women work their shawls to offer pain relief, positioning, and corrective measures during labor. This information is invaluable. My mantra is now, "Position, position, position!" No longer need women suffer ineffective contractions and unnecessarily long labors, only to end up with a c-section--we can be gently but effectively proactive in helping women bring their babies into this world. Through the skills I have learned in this class I can now boast a 100% success rate in VBAC and vaginal births so far. The only c-sections I attend at this point are elective. Women's bodies work. With a little knowledge of places to push, a change of position, or a simple motion, we can help women exponentially! I cannot recommend Brittany's class enough for all those that help women in labor.

Interested in bringing Brittany's sought after workshops on pelvic biomechanics and fetal positioning
to your in-person or online community?
Brittany is available to facilitate at:
conference presentations for birth workers, chiropractors, midwives, obstetricians, nurses
doula collectives
birth community gatherings
workshops for clinical practices (midwives, nurses, obstetricians)
workshops for hospitals, birth centers, and homebirth practitioners
Brittany's pelvic dynamics workshops focus on developing a deeper understanding of the biomechanics of pelvic movement, the mechanical relation between femur rotation and movement of the innominate bones, the variations in pelvic shape and their impact on fetal positioning, attitude, descent, and rotation, and the procuring of techniques that can help labor to progress with efficiency. Workshops explore the relationship between bodily alignment, pelvic space, uterine tilt, and fetal position in pregnancy, labor, and birth. Pelvic dynamics are explored through participatory demonstration, positional changes, and movement. This hands-on knowledge joins with discussion of fetal positioning variations to explore the challenges commonly faced throughout the labor process due to fetal positioning and pelvic space restrictions. Hands-on practice with alignment and movement offers providers a chance to experience pelvic mobility while gaining exercises, language, and knowledge that can be passed on to clients both prenatally and throughout labor. The workshops focus on developing tools for decreasing the need for interventions, reducing the risk of cesarean birth, and restoring autonomy to the birthing person. The course leaves providers with techniques usable immediately with clients birthing with pain medication and without pain medication.
