Support and Empowerment at Your Fingertips throughout Your Entire Laboring Process
Our unique guide offers you videos, expert tips, advocacy reminders, position suggestions, comfort techniques, pain relief options, and more all with the intention of being used in REAL TIME during your labor and birth experience!
Set up to reflect the common doula relationship, the guide begins with prenatal preparation - exploring your birth preferences, becoming comfortable with breathwork for labor, understanding cesarean birth, how to effectively utilize movement for laboring with or without an epidural, and suggestions for building confidence in your birth space. This portion of the guide is intended to be used in preparation for your labor. It does not take the place of a birth class but supports you in utilizing information from birth class within the context of your individual preferences.
The guide then begins to provide you support intended to be used during your labor experience. Through videos, visuals, reminders, and even research, content is organized by labor phase, cesarean birth (planned or unexpected, and immediate postpartum. Reminders are provided for positions to utilize at each phase, questions to ask to gather information for informed and evidence based decision making, and comfort techniques for support people to engage. Medical pain relief options for each phase of labor are also discussed but are offered as a separate audio track so that birth preferences can be easily navigated for the individual.
The platform through which we offer this course is stellar. It offers transcripts of each video so that in moments during labor when "silence is golden," support people can still check out suggestions for comfort and advocacy. The easy searchability tools allow you to go back and forth through the content to find the relevant topic needed in the moment. And with FOREVER access, you can explore all the content in advance and continue to use it indefinitely!
This guide does not take the place of in person doula support but can be utilized on its own as a separate type of support for those not pursuing physical doula support. In addition, it can be an excellent tool to add to the birth support even when an in person doula is being utilized.
The fee for Your Digital Doula is $150.
