I wanted to share that your class was so helpful in preparing us especially since she arrived earlier than anticipated. We looked back on how smooth things went since we were armed with lots of information going in.
A few things from your course that really helped throughout my labor and delivery:
- My husband used massage and counter pressure techniques to help me manage the pain/contractions throughout.
- I kept thinking about “fogging the glass” with my breathing and tried to change positions every 5 contractions. I also walked whenever possible.
- We realized I was in active labor based on your course just 2 hours after contractions began (I would have likely stayed home too long thinking we had more time if it we didn’t refer to the tips you shared.) When I arrived at the hospital she was already in station 0. She was born just 9 hours after my labor started.
- Understanding the different stages and how the baby descends was really encouraging for me when I reached transition as I could tell the hardest part would be over soon.
We are so grateful for your class and know it helped us to prepare for the low intervention birth we wanted and have a really positive experience even though it was fast and furious at times. We have been letting our friends who are expecting know about your class and hope they will sign up too!

Thank you SO much for everything. I feel so much more prepared than I would have otherwise. The info packets and class materials are awesome to have and I'm going to print them out today to have easy access to them in the hospital.
I can't stress enough what a perfect fit for me your class was...the perfect mix of crunchy and scientific.
I am all about the holistic way of doing things but not at the cost of completely ignoring the advances of medical science (medical science has saved my mom's life on so many occasions- she has a ton of tubes and things due to her MS that make living possible and pleasant for her despite being wheelchair bound for over 20 years now). I appreciated learning about the natural side of things but also that it never felt preachy or like all of western medicine is bad news.
Thank you soooo much for doing what you do in the way you do it! I'll definitely update you as to how it all goes when Baby comes! Instead of feeling scared I mostly feel excited about it all! And most likely you'll be seeing me again for another workshop or two. - Lisa S.
